First day back at the office after a month of working for another graphic design agency – and a short week of summer holiday! Its a bit sad to see that the Norwegian summer is almost over, and today it felt like autumn was about to arrive. But one thing I love about the last summer days, are the dandelion seeds. Over the last couple of years the dandelion seeds have become a decorative element in many designs, and this wall decorations by Bility is a good example. I love the play on shadows and light! The expression less is more is not just a cliché – but in fact quite a good rule when it comes to design. When a great idea is executed in a simple and functional way, you get a perfect product in my opinion. The deck chair by BERNHARD | BURKARD is a good example the simplicity of a product. It looks elegant and comfortable and with the support of the environment – a wall – it becomes a relaxing seat. Its easy to transport and the anti-slip coated stand provides safe grip on every surface.
LIGHTBOY by Yi Cong Lu

This lamp, made by Yi Cong Lu, is a very light, elegant and playful. It’s made up by very simple objects which are easy to like. I call this type of design honest. Just by looking briefly at the object you can distinguish the different elements of the lamp from each other. The designer has used recognizable object to build the lamp, so it feels familiar and home. And he has made it easy to fold and carry it if that is desirable.
With either pale and strong colors it will be a fun and joyful piece for your interior.

I love design and I love technology and when you combine these you really make my day. Unfold studio and Physalias are doing exactly this. They have created some very interesting objects that are impressing. We now have so much technology and the task is to combine these two. These two studios even make their own machines. The equipment you need is available on the internet, and then by adding ingenuity and creativity you make the magic happen! Sign me up if you are in development of new cool machines.

Oh no, I hate it when I fall completely in love with an object but cant buy it! The incredibly cute and funny wood figures from Pen Pencil Stencil got me so exited, but unfortunately his products are only made in a limited edition. His store will however open again sometime this summer, and I will definitely be ready so that I can get my hands on a wood-skull, the pirate pencil or maybe the amazing Sunshrine!
