Shores by Norma Sass/ Ingrid Rognstad>
Not to long ago I wrote about Ingrid Rognstad, a brilliant illustrator who borrowed some space in my workshop. She turned the hole room upside down with drawings, pearls, feathers, cameras and lights. The result of that mess: this nice music video for the Norwegian band Norma Sass. Great job Ingrid – It was a blast to have you here in my office!
Maria & José>
«Maria & José» is a love story a bit different form the rest. José is lives on the body of Maria, he protect her from diseases, he does all the maintenance in her body and sits in her ear and whisper to her and play cello while she sleeps. José loves Maria. Maria does not know who she loves, but the story about their relationship is capturing and romantic.
The story, written by Erlend Loe and Kim Hiortøy, has been turned it a stunning theater play where animation, scenography, sound, light and acting all come together on the stage. Its a beautiful visual experience that I strongly recommend to both children and adults. See video and images after the jump and be sure to see the play this weekend on Litteraturhuset in Oslo on Saturday. Read more about the play here.
For the last couple of weeks I have had the pleasure of sharing my office with a super talented young illustrator, Ingrid Rognstad. She has turned my workshop area into a complete mess of pearls, drawings, feathers, lights and cameras – making a stop motion music video. But while we wait for the video to get ready, I strongly recommend you visit her new website ingridrognstad.com and explore her amazing illustrations and funny animations.
See my favorite illustrations among Ingrid’s work after the jump…as well as some behind the scenes photos from my messy office!
Here is a poetic little something to set your mood for this Sunday. I have showed you work from Kristian Pedersen several times before, and as usual he has created an animation based on literature. This time the animation “Sveve Sveve” is made for the national library in Norway, in occasion of the writer Dag Solstads 70s anniversary. I love the way Kristian take all the best from the physical books, such as the feeling and texture of the paper and the printed typography, and brings it to a digital format. The video is in Norwegian but I hope you can all enjoy it anyway!
Hyundai Accent 3D projection mapping>
I know absolutely nothing about cars – I barely knows how to drive one. Still I cant help but to be amazed by car commercials like this one for Hyundai. I love the way they’ve used a wall as a surface for an incredible show, making stunning interactions and optical illusions. This is a great way to make a marketing campaign, and it deffinitly makes people notice the car. Check out the video above and be amazed! Read more…
